Catheryn Ferguson, President
Catheryn (Cati) Ferguson grew up here in Lebanon where she was homeschooled and participated in 4-H, piano festivals, and church band/choir. She has been part of multiple bands, orchestras, traveling choirs, and has studied several instruments to varying levels since she was nine years old.
Cati has been teaching music for 17 years, starting in high school as a student piano teacher for Family Music Studio. She graduated from Johnson University Florida in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Musical Arts, and then from University of Central Florida in 2017 with a Master of Arts in Music with a focus in Piano Pedagogy.
Cati founded Cornerstone Music Studio in July 2022 where she teaches piano, guitar, violin, ukulele, and voice. She has taught at Johnson University Florida, Seminole State College, and University of Central Florida as an Adjunct Professor of Music teaching Music Appreciation, Class Piano (levels 1-4), and Music Theory Lab (levels 1-4).

Amanda Kay Kercheval, Secretary
Amanda Kay Kercheval, a clarinet player since middle school, first became involved with the BCYAO as an adult musician in 2015, joining the board in 2023. She's also a member of the Boone County Community Band and Alpha Phi Omega. Amanda graduated from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and minors in Mathematics and French and is currently a software engineer for J. B. Hunt Transport Service, Inc.
Mike Brubaker, Immediate Past President
Mike Brubaker has been involved with the performing arts since middle school. He played trumpet, French horn, and mellophone through middle school and high school. He got involved in theater in high school and continued at Purdue, studying Theater Design and Technology with an emphasis in Lighting Design. After graduation, he worked for a theater design consultant for Jones & Phillips Associates and as the Technical Director at the Long Center in Lafayette. Currently, he is a partner at C.M. Buck & Associates, Inc., managing their theatrical dealer, integrator, and controls division, Associated Controls + Design. Volunteer and board experience includes the Lebanon Community Arts Council, Harney Elementary PTO, and work with the Humane Society for Boone County. His daughter plays trumpet, and violin for the BCYAO.
